Downtown Tamarindo (cont.)

I was told the other day that at last count there are ninety seven restaurants in Tamarindo.  I think about forty five percent serve seafood, forty five percent serve pizza and the other ten percent are specialty type restaurants like Chinese and Thai, etc.  There are very few restaurants that serve steaks and/or hamburgers since good beef is hard to get.  We have seen only one pizza place that has a pizza with sausage; none with hamburger.  We do have one Subway.  We have not been in it so I am not sure what the sandwiches are like there.
As we were walking home on Saturday night we passed a number of these restaurants.
There is a nice Argentinian restaurant that we understand is very good.

This an Italian restaurant.

Of course there are Sushi bars.

And sports bars.  This one has huge screens.  We watched Ohio State there and the Cowboys.

Many have their menus posted out on the street.  However, they can sometimes be confusing.

Almost all have outdoor seating.

We could easily eat out every night but Gail is such a good cook.  She makes wonderful seafood and rice at home and that is pretty much all we need.  I am sure we will try quite a few of the local spots though.
